MEMORIAL DAY PROGRAM

There will be a Memorial Day Program at the Sloan Cemetery on Monday, May 30th at 10:00AM hosted by Smith-Rhodes Post 295. The program will include music from the
BRUSH PILE IS OPEN!

Brush pile is now open. The hours and days are as follows: Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 8:00 AM to 7:00PM weather permitting. The gate will be unlocked for your convenience. We are using the honor system as far as payment goes. It is still $1.00 per load and you can drop off payment at City Hall or City Hall front door drop box. Please no garbage, trash, wood furniture or anything else that needs to go to the county dump. We only take grass, brush and tree limbs. Too many violations could force us to close the brush pile.

PET LICENSES ARE DUE!! Per City Ordinance ALL dogs and cats must immunized and licensed. The cost is $3.00 per pet and you must have current rabies certificate.
MEMORIAL HOLIDAY GARBAGE SCHEDULE

Due to the Memorial Day Holiday- garbage pickup will be TUESDAY MAY 31ST. Recycle pickup that week will be THURSDAY JUNE 2ND.
SLOAN FIRE DEPT. CAN DONATION

We are accepting cans at the Sloan Fire Station!! The next Saturday to bring in your cans is MAY 28th from 9:00 - 10:30AM. We are saving cans for new updated Fireman Gear for the volunteeers of the Sloan Fire Dept. You can still drop the cans and bottles anytime at the Sloan Fire Station.
Council Meeting

The City of Sloan will have a regular Council meeting Thursday night, MAY 19TH. It is still an open meeting (per Iowa Code) but we urge anyone who would be planning on attending, with questions, to please send (via facebook) or call us with your questions and or concerns prior to Thursday night. That way, the Council can answer those without you having to come to the meeting if you don't want to. That decision, to come to the meeting or not, is your decision of course. We want to keep our citizens safe and healthy!!
